Giambastiani, Turner married in June at Harmony Wynelands
John P. Giambastiani and Melissa A. Turner, both of Elk Grove, were married in June.
Giambastiani graduated from Lodi High School in 1999. He is currently attending California State University, Sacramento, where he plans to graduate with a degree in civil engineering in 2009. He is employed by Mark Thomas and Co. He is the son of Phil and Karen Giambastiani, of Morada.
Turner graduated from Tokay High School in 1999, and then from San Joaquin Delta College in 2001. She is employed as a preschool teacher at Learning Tree School in Sacramento. She is the daughter of Bruce Turner, of Lodi, and Julie and Mark Sey, of Woodbridge.
The couple was married on June 14 at Harmony Wynelands Winery, where the reception also took place. A special toast was given by Marky Sey, stepfather of the bride.
The bride wore a delicate lace gown decorated with sparkle and beadwork with a modified sweetheart neckline and A-line silhouette and a chapel-length train. Her double layer fingertip-length veil was made of Ivory English tulle and was trimmed with delicate silver embroidery sprinkled with drop Swaroski crystals. She carried a bouquet of hand-tied white and lavender roses, tulips, peonies and lisianthus by Blossoms by Lisa.
The best man was Michael Foucher, of Lodi, friend of the groom. The groomsmen were Phillip Giambastiani, father of the groom; Chad Magoyup and Josh Newfield, both friends of the groom.
The matron of honor was Rachel Gomes, of Lodi, friend of the bride. The bridesmaids were Julie Sey, mother of the bride; Amber Jones and Franse Mathews, both friends of the bride.
The flower girls were Lainey Arko, of Papillon, Nev. and Nicole Lee, of Sacramento. The wedding coordinator was Debbie Sellers.
Special guests included Betty and John Arko, of Lodi, grandparents of the bride; Esther Turner, of Lodi, grandmother of the bride; John and Lois Giambastiani, grandparents of the groom; Dolores Aulwurm, grandmother of the groom; and Adam and Mary Arko, of Papillon, Nev., cousins of the bride.
The two spent their honeymoon at Wailea in Maui, Hawaii. They have made their home in Elk Grove.
