Lodi boys rout South Lake Tahoe; Girls roll past Grace Davis
Thomas Miller had a game-high 18 points, including three 3-pointers, to lead Lodi High's varsity boys basketball team to a 63-43 victory over South Lake Tahoe on Thursday night in the opening round of the South Lake Tahoe Tournament.
The Flames (3-0), who led 20-7 after one period and 37-17 at halftime, will play North Valley of Nevada in the second round today at 5 p.m.
Steven Cockrum added 16 points for the Flames in Thursday's victory. Ryan Gaarder and Kyle Larrabee each netted seven points, John Herman sank six, Conner Birtwhistle had four, Alex Niktaris and Brian Simpfenderfer each had two and Mujihid Khan added one.

Nick Camarena had 16 points and five rebounds for the Tigers in the first round of the Stagg Tournament.
Thomas Davis and Gabe Ramirez each had five points, Kyle Eggers netted four, Greg Munson had three, R.J. Barsam, Zane Schallberger and Aaron Hinkle each had two and Mack Bertrum added one.

Jeff Dickerson had 15 to lead the Flames (4-1) in the final round of the Central Valley Tournament. The Flames went 2-1 in the tourney and placed fifth.
Colton Machado and Dominic Ornelas each had 10 points for the Flames, Andrew Todd and Greg Herzfeldt both netted eight and Pini Silva and Garrett Hanna had two apiece.

Lodi 52, Grace Davis 27
Erin DeSnayer had 17 points and Gabby Munsch added eight points and 10 rebounds to lead the Flames (1-0) in the first round of the Sonora Tournament.
Lodi led 13-8 after one period and then broke the game open by outscoring Grace Davis 15-4 in the second quarter. The Flames held Davis to single-digit scoring in three of the four quarters.
Jill McMillen had 11 points for Lodi, Kelsi Meier had seven, Jessie Saner netted six, Kate Ehlers had two and Allison Ming added one.
Lodi will play Alameda today at 6:30 p.m.
Victory Christian 76, Elliot 36
Leslie Huber had 19 points and seven steals for the Eagles (1-1) in the first round of the Victory Christian Tournament.
Emily Nitschke had 10 points, five steals and five assists, Brittany Gross and Elizabeth Thiesen both had seven rebounds and two points, Marissa Jolley and Katie Kishi each had three points.
Elliot plays Wilton Christian today at 7:30 p.m.

Jillian Burkhard had 20 points to lead the Flames in the first round of the West Tournament.
Brie Day scored eight, Autumn Stewart netted seven, Taylor Sousa sank six, Amanda Barba had four and Betsy Colburn, Alex Gundert, Maranda Dean and Corinne Knierim had two apiece.

Kendra Sanguinetti had 15 points and three steals and Nicole Hoffmann added 13 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Flames (1-0) in the first round of the Kennedy Tournament.
Alyssa Magana had six points and four steals for Lodi, Riley Enos had six points and six rebounds, Michelle Ono had four points and six rebounds and Christina Grishaesa and Audrey Simon each had two points.
The Flames will play Kennedy today at 5 p.m.
Tokay 28, Los Banos 15
Priscilla Gutierrez had 14 points to lead the Tigers (1-0) in the first round of the Tracy Tournament.
Paige Kininmonth had six points, Aeriel Hobbs had four and Victoria Villanueva and Perla Chavez added two apiece. Tiffany Barriga had three steals.
Tokay plays Linden today at 6:30 p.m.

Hole-in-one
Mike Wedlake recently hit a hole-in-one at Woodbridge Country Club's Middle Course. Wedlake aced the 152-yard eighth hole and witnesses included Ed Leveroni, Susan Leveroni and Nina Wedlake.
