Tigers win Foundation games
Lynice Schallberger had 16 points and 11 rebounds to lead Tokay High's varsity girls basketball team to a 45-41 victory over visiting Linden in a Foundation Game on Monday night at The Jungle.
The game didn't count in the standings and proceeds will benefit the Sac-Joaquin Section's scholarship fund.
Olympic Lopez and Tori Schallberger scored seven points apiece for Tokay, Kelsey McCarty had six, Rachel Hernandez added three and Alyssa Whitsen had two.

Tokay 77, Linden 59
Scott Brown had 19 points and seven rebounds to lead the Tigers over Linden in a Foundation Game.
Alex Gutierrez had nine points and six rebounds and Kevin Shilue added seven points and six rebounds.
Tex Mabalon, Chris Knight, Jon Haley and Daniel Mosqueda each had seven points and Mike Hernandez added five points.
Sac Country Day 70, Elliot 55
Trip Manley had 20 points for the Eagles and Bubba Wall added 13.
Andrew Cotton netted eight, Phil Wiggins had four, Travis Dodd and Tyler Nuss each had three and Michael Wick and Cameron Elmore sank two apiece.

Hole-in-one
Jim Siegfried recently hit a hole-in-one at Forest Lake Golf Course. Siegfried used a No. 8 iron to ace the 150-yard 11th hole.
Correction
Lodi High varsity boys basketball player Ryan Gaarder had 17 points and nine rebounds in the Flames' 82-60 victory over Vista del Lago last Friday night. Gaarder's name was misspelled in last Saturday's News-Sentinel.
