Thank you, Roof Rangers, Galt Ace Hardware and Vanwarmerdam Dairy for sponsoring the Galt seniors (60-plus) with a free Thanksgiving dinner.

Dinner was prepared and served at the Galt Valley Oaks Grange Hall. The Thanksgiving meal consisted of oven-baked turkey with all the trimmings, GWA's specialty Thanksgiving dessert, punch and coffee.

The GWA volunteer kitchen crew were Mary Chapman, Doris Williams and Leta Martin, with Annetta Sessions and Jackie Hummel volunteering as extra servers and kitchen cleanup. Thank you, Annetta and Jackie!

Thank you, GWA hall hostesses: Lillie Chapman, ticket host; Millie Shandonay, opportunity table host; and scholarship raffle table host Sylvia Jimenez, who hosts, displays, collects and raffles the donated baskets and prizes. All raffle proceeds go to GWA's scholarship finding for Galt high schools. The opportunity table has donated items and all collected funds support GWA's targeted charity for 2008 of autism.

Thank you to the men volunteers from main Grange, Gene Hummel and Tony Esparsen for providing "the muscles" and all-around general help for GWA women. Thank you, Hilda Casado, for having the hall available and ready. Thank you, Leta Martin, for doing hall decorations. Thank you, hall servers Doris Williams, Leslie Esparsen and Annetta Sessions.

Great job, Sarah Nixon! GWA's youth volunteer and server, Sarah is in the sixth grade at Lake Canyon School. A big thank you to JoAnn Janssen from the L'Chayim Women's Center for jumping in and volunteering to help out the servers and kitchen crew.
