A parolee in custody on accusations of crashing a stolen car into an apartment and breaking water pipes in the process has more water woes: He and another inmate are accused of damaging a Lodi courthouse sprinkler and causing about $4,000 worth of damages.

Timothy Nolan Jr., 23, who was facing a number of felony charges related to the crash earlier this month, is now accused of conspiracy and vandalism.

And the other suspect, 20-year-old David Jonathan Hall, likely would have been released from custody because he was only in jail for traffic infractions. Now his bail is set at $535,000, according to San Joaquin County Jail records.

The two were among four inmates in a holding cell at the Lodi courthouse, 215 W. Elm St. At around 10:20 a.m. Monday, one of them broke a ceiling sprinkler, according to the Sheriff's Office.

" Who's Raboy? These comments don't seem to pertain to the article, although maybe the posters here think it was unfair for these men to be charged with damaging property at the courthouse? "

" I have witnessed Tim Raboy very closely, and the words "Socialist Liberal" comes to mind. This is the kind of Clinton type government powermonger that would call himself a "do gooder". Officials are supposed to weigh how much of our rights will be violated when putting a law in place. Mr. Raboy does not realize that people usually die of smoke inhailation, and not the actual fire, and that is why we have smoke alarms. Raboy is a typical intrusive Social Liberal. Galt better think about "term limits". "

" As a Galt resident, I've never been more embarrassed by my so called leadership. Who are these idiots? How many people have died in a home fire, ever? Now their going to make new homes more unaffordable? "Scrutiny", you summed it up best. "Audi 5000", I couldn't agree more. "Midtowner", how many lives would be saved if we all rode bicycles. The government is not our nanny. We don't need to be saved from ourselves just because they can. They're taking away our freedoms one stupid law at a time. And were paying for it. "

" Fire sprinklers save lives. Although the mandate is a little curious, the fact remains that sprinkers save lives and minimize property damage. Ask yourself this, would you drive without a seatbelt? It's about safety, folks. "

" Yolo County actuall requires fire sprinklers on large homes... I think it's 4000sqft. "

" Hey Raboy, how many fire deaths in Galt? How many burglaries? How many car thefts? How many stolen bicycles? What's next, mandating house alarms? Mandating car alarms? Mandating bike locks? All you've done is to take a big chunk of revenue away from potential building permits. Let's face it, people move to Galt because it's cheap, and not much else. Take that away and what do you have? Galt, you're fun to watch! "
