Obama's temperament shift is not confusing
Nov. 7 headlines were astonishing. Only liberals and goofballs like Attorney General Jerry Brown can get confused by the words of Proposition 8: "Only" means only and "valid" means valid.
So, notwithstanding their misplaced moral outrage that the majority of Californians want marriage protected, homosexuals need to be content with the identical rights of civil unions and learn to accept the will of the people.
On a separate and also astonishing note, why is it even newsworthy that the no-experience, never-take-a-stand socialist who will soon be sworn in as our president is now changing his stripes from "almost post-partisan" to surrounding himself with "fiery partisans" and "tough partisan in-fighters?" While I, unlike my liberal friends, have accepted the will of the people, the transparency of Mr. Obama's "shift in temperament" is not at all confusing. Those of us paying attention to anything other than his empty "change" rhetoric saw this coming.

President Obama will use his smooth tone voice make all the terrorists suddenly become our friends, and he can then "Cut our military defense budget by 50% and move those funds over to the Welfare Program budget!" Those who now insist that President Obama be given a chance and as even one well-meaning (but terribly hypocritical) fellow suggested that I have an "open mind" regarding what this man intends to do, I wonder where was this same consideration for George W. Bush who was vilified and pilloried from the very moment he won the election in 2000.
I wonder what an "open mind" would consist of to satisfy those who really have no idea who Obama is or what he is capable of doing. As I have always maintained, it is what he said he will do that presents the roadblock for such open-minded acceptance of his presidency. Our system of government was designed to be adversarial- this is how we keep things in check. For those of us who vehemently oppose the ideas and policies set forth by Obama, we will be there at every turn voicing our opposition through words, speech and our vote. "

I hope to god that the terrorists don't decide that the US needs a little payback while the great BO is in office. "
