Sieglock is local, Huber is not

Updated: Monday, November 3, 2008 6:03 AM PST

I am tired ... I am tired of misleading ads and dishonesty in political campaigns to get my vote.

I would like to make it clear to Lodi voters who Alyson Huber, who is running for our district in the California State Assembly, is.

She is a San Francisco trial attorney. I am tired of her ads that portray her as someone who cares about our area.

How can a person who spends her days 200-plus miles away in a courtroom have any idea what we need and want in Lodi?

The truth is, she cannot. Think about it. She is a member of the San Francisco Bar Association, not San Joaquin's. Most of her campaign contributions come from outside our district. These contributors will be the people most important to her if she were to move forward and these would not be the people of Lodi.

Jack Sieglock is the candidate for our Assembly District who will get my vote. Jack has lived and raised a family in Lodi for decades. He has proven his concern for our community through his positive and progressive activities as Lodi's mayor and later as our county supervisor. I know where Jack's interests and concerns lie, here in Lodi with us.

Don't get worn out by tired old ads. Now that you understand the truth about who these candidates are, the choice is easy and clear, Jack Sieglock for Assembly.

" Sieglock's campaign website says that he runs a business called "Sieglock Communications". When I google the name, however, there is no listing for a company website.

Does anyone know what this company does? The campaign website says that he focuses on "public and government" relations.

To me, that sounds like double talk for "Sleazy Corporate Lobbyist". "

" What makes Back pocket Jack local is his membership in the Good Ole' boys club. Just look at all the developer money that was donated to his camp and you'll know why. "

" I sat right next to Allyson Huber in Tom Montgomery's class at Lodi High School for two years.

If growing up in Lodi, attending Lodi's Schools and Delta College doesn't make someone a local, I don't know what does. "
