MOPS group plans monthly meetings
Heartland Community Church, in partnership with Crossroads Community Church, 2223 Kettleman Lane, is hosting a Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) group. MOPS is for every mom from all backgrounds and ages with children ages birth through kindergarten. MOPS is about celebrating motherhood, meeting needs, and making connections through relationships, resources, creative activities and food. Over the next months, speakers will address many topics relating to the theme for the year, "Adventures in Mothering." We will be exploring who we are as mothers, wives and women. Children will be cared for in a parallel program called MOPPETS. MOPS will take place from 9 to 11:30 a.m every first and third Thursday of each month from September -December and January -May; starting Sept. 4. The cost is $35 per semester. A pre-registration party will be held on Aug 21. Deadline for pre-registration is Aug. 25. For more information, e-mail mops@heartlandcc.org or call Lisa Hillstrom, coordinator at 327-5370.
