Honesty, actions and the White House
During the election campaign, I hope that Americans are paying attention to what the two presidential candidates are saying and how each is conducting himself.
Tactics employed tell something about how a candidate would operate in office if elected. In the Sept. 29 issue of "Time Magazine," entitled "The Lying Game," columnist Joe Klein states "Every politician stretches the truth. But, McCain is running a uniquely dishonest campaign."
As the Associated Press put it: "McCain's claims skirt facts." Increasing numbers of sober observers such as the "New York Times" editorial board are calling John McCain a liar. "In his acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention, Obama said that he was open to offshore oil drilling and building nuclear power plants. McCain flatly said in his acceptance speech that Obama was opposed to both." In another false accusation, McCain stated that Obama was referring to Sarah Palin in the phrase "putting lipstick on a pig." Actually Obama was referring to McCain's effort to remarket his economic policy. McCain was trying to distract the American electorate from Palin's lack of fitness for the job and his recklessness in choosing her.
Barack Obama traveled to the Mideast in July and met with leaders of the Iraqi government, and they favored his withdrawal plan. Trying to take political advantage of this event, McCain tried to smear Obama by questioning his patriotism. McCain unfairly said, "The Democrat would rather lose a war than lose an election." Since then, McCain's campaign has been a series of snide and demeaning ads accompanied by a daily gush of untruths that now have been widely documented and exposed. McCain is obviously using dirty tactics to demean his opponent and take attention away from the fact that he is in agreement on most issues with and exceedingly unpopular president.
In the first debate, McCain repeatedly said that Obama doesn't understand foreign policy, diplomacy, strategies, tactics and such. Each time, Obama refuted McCain's false accusations. McCain wouldn't make eye contact during the debate. Instead he sneered while Obama was speaking. It's difficult to face someone when you're lying.

Tales From The Trail - Andy Sullivan
(Excerpts)...
Candidates who blink more than their opponents in debates tend to lose presidential elections, says Boston College psychology professor J.J. Tecce, and McCain outblinked Obama during the their three debates this fall.
People are picking up McCains rapid blinking and saying, Theres something about him thats awfully twitchy and nervous and I dont think I want to vote for that guy, said Tecce, who has presented a paper on blinking in debates.
The blinking pattern held during this years Democratic primaries. Obama and rival Hillary Clinton each registered about 40 to 50 blinks per minute during Democratic debates, far less than rivals who quickly dropped out of the race.
The presidential candidate who blinked more than his opponent during debates has lost every election since 1976 with the exception of 2000 when blink-happy George W. Bush lost the popular vote to Democrat Al Gore but won the White House. "

Even the most politically astute LIBERAL politico will tell you this was a cleverly crafted double entendre - having double meaning - referring to both Sarah Palin and John McCain.
If you think Politicians aren't capable of such statements, you are wrong my friend. " "

You consider the Associated Press an unbiased source of information with regards to referencing anything John McCain has said????? Hardly.
As for this:

Joe the Plumber appears to be Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher.
Joe the Plumber's Father appears to be Robert Wurzelbacher right wing fanatic and contributor who is the son in law of..... you're not going to believe this. Charles Keating.
This just gets better and better.
****Update: Joe the "undecided voter" appears to be a registered Republican. He voted for McCain in the primary.
*** Update 2: There's another Wurzelbacher. Doug Wurzelbacher. Doug is active in competitive dog sled racing. Guess where he lives? Wasilla, Alaska. What are the odds? I wonder if he's related to "Plumber Joe"?
**** Update 3: So far no evidence on the wife beating accusations. And no evidence that he's related to the Keating Wurzelbacher. However, there are reports today that Joe has cancelled any future interviews. He was set to do the media tour and has decided to go underground. Maybe he's hoping all this will blow over?
These questions need answers.
