Bi-annual wine stroll to be held Downtown
On Oct. 17, from 6-9 p.m., the Lodi Chamber of Commerce along with Lodi Adopt-A-Child will be hosting the Lodi School Street Stroll in Downtown Lodi.
The event brings award-winning wines, food and shopping together in this bi-annual event. Over 25 local wineries will take up residence in various shops of Lodi's historic district.
Each participating business is paired with a winery for the evening. Merchants provide hors d'oeuvres and offer special sales, while the winery pours a tasting of their label to strolling visitors, wine lovers and shoppers.
Attendees receive a commemorative wine glass and a map to track down their favorite labels.
Tickets are $25 in advance and $35 the day of the event. Tickets can be purchased at the Lodi Chamber of Commerce Office at 35 S. School St. in Downtown Lodi or by phone. Call 367-7840, ext. 100 for more information or to purchase tickets.

Stockton CPA to hold 'Bail Out' seminars
Peter Holtz, a Stockton-based CPA and owner of Dream Inc Great Valley, is holding a seminar focusing on the recent Wall Street bail-out.
The seminars, titled "Bail Out Blitz Seminars," will provide small business owners with the necessary tools to avoid paying taxes that would support the financial bail out programs.
In a recent press release, Holtz said the workshops would "reveal an exhaustive list of the best tax planning strategies for business owners that still exist and are expanded for changes in the law."
