Paula Hernandez
Enjoyed sewing, socializing, grandchildren
Paula Paez Hernandez, 84, of Lodi, died Oct. 9 at her home. She was born Jan. 26, 1924, in Pleasanton, Texas.
Mrs. Hernandez was a homemaker who enjoyed crocheting, sewing, taking pictures and socializing. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and teaching them how to sew, cook and bake. She was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Luis Ruiz Hernandez, of Lodi; children, Brigida Torres, of Stockton, Valentin Hernandez, of Colorado, Felipa Gutierrez-Owens, of Woodbridge, Jose Hernandez, of Colorado, and Benita Cortez, of Lodi; five siblings; 10 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Paulina Hernandez.
At Mrs. Hernandez's wishes, there will be no visitation, and committal will be private.
