Lodi Memorial Hospital to hold kick-off open house
An evening of food and fun is planned for the Lodi Memorial Hospital Foundation's community kick-off open house on Saturday.
The event is being held to say "Thank you" to the community members who have supported the hospital all of these years, said Carol Farron, spokeswomen for Lodi Memorial Hospital.
"We want to say thank you for giving birth to the hospital and for their support all of these years," she said.
Tours will be given at the event to introduce to the South Wing expansion, which Farron estimates will be complete by the end of next year.
Improvements to the South Wing include construction of rooms for more than 90 new patient beds, a new emergency department and expanding services in the birthing center, diagnostic imaging, medical ambulatory care, materials management and food service areas.
The kick-off event will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at 975 S. Fairmont Ave., near the Ham Lane entrance. Boxed picnic lunches will be provided by Travis Catering. Admission is free.
