Elliot aces Brookside Christian
Catharine Simning had nine aces and 15 assists to lead Elliot High's varsity volleyball team to a 25-16, 25-9, 25-17 victory over visiting Brookside Christian on Monday night.
Emily Nitschke had eight aces, three kills and five digs and Alice Soklova had five aces, seven digs and seven assists.

Modesto Tournament
Lodi High won its final two games at the Modesto Tournament this past weekend.
The Flames defeated Atwater 7-2, with Robert Hardwick, Allen Daniells, Dillon Smith, Jack Morris, Zack Powell, Dustin Domingo and Mike Whiteside each scoring once. Blake Montgomery had seven saves in the net.
Lodi defeated Oakdale 6-3, getting three goals from David Reher, two from Smith and one by Whiteside. Montgomery had eight saves.

Michael Chanhthakoummane scored on a 16-yard run for the Tigers in last week's loss to the Buffaloes. Joey Silva led the Tigers on defense with 14 tackles. Blake Guiteriez and Anthony Garcia also had solid games.
