Lorraine Phillips
Legal secretary
Lorraine Marie Phillips, 86, of Stockton and formerly of Lodi, died Sept. 14. She was born on Sept. 11, 1922, in Whiting, Ind.
Mrs. Phillips worked in a defense plant in Chicago making artillery shells during World War II, where she met her husband, George Phillips. She later worked in Lodi as a legal secretary, retiring after 35 years.
Mrs. Phillips was a member of the National Association of Legal Secretaries. Her hobbies included gardening, traveling, the desert and ceramics.
She is survived by her daughter, Dixie Brown; sons, Rick Phillips and Dan Phillips; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George A. Phillips, in 1962.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday in Stockton. For further information, contact Lodi Funeral Home at 369-3564. Committal is private and there will be no visitation.
