Lodi, Brakel sink Tigers
Led by Kercia Brakel's 1-under 35, the Lodi girls golf team beat Tokay in a rivalry showdown at Lockeford Springs Golf Course on Friday.
Marissa Hinchman hit a 42, Sarah Boles turned in a round of 46, Danielle Aldrich carded a 50, Courtney Schmidt had a 51 and Julia VanRuiten hit a 60 in the Flames victory. Lodi moved to 2-0 with the win.
Alysaa Musto and Kasey Ota had the lowest scores for Tokay (0-1), with a 44 and 46 respectively. Katie Woznick hit a 53, Maggie McFarland had a 55 and Olivia Macdonald and Devyn Michelotti each shot 59s.

Lodi 3, Galt 1
Kate Ehlers served up six aces and recorded 21 assists, 11 digs and two kills, helping lift Lodi over Galt 3-1 (25-16, 22-25, 25-12, 25-11) on Friday night. Erin De Snayer totaled 14 digs, 11 kills and one ace, while Ally Drake added 14 digs for the Flames.

Galt 3, Wilton Christian 0
The Galt Warriors got a win in their first home match of the season, defeating Wilton Christian 25-22, 25-18 and 25-19 in their foundation game Thursday night.
Becca McBroom recorded nine kills and four blocks, Nikki Newman added five kills and two blocks, Jacolyn Panasco threw down nine kills and Erika VanBroeck chipped in five kills. Setters Megan Warmerdam and Amelia Raquel totaled nine and eight assists respectively, while Raquel also had two kills.
Junior Varsity
Lodi 2, Galt 0
The Flames downed the Warriors in two games Friday night, 25-17 and 25-12. Lodi (1-0) got a lot of help from Jessica Malcom (three kills, four aces), Halle Ortiz (four aces, three digs), Melanie Greenwood (three aces, four assists) and Autumn Stuart (seven blocks, two kills) in the win.

Galt 2, Lodi 1
Galt got the best of Lodi on Friday night, in a three-match battle that saw the Warriors pull out a 2-1 come-from-behind victory. Lodi won the first game 25-18 before Galt won game two 25-23 and game three 15-8.
Kelsey Gini shined for the Warriors, recording eight digs, five aces and four kills, while Michelle Ono had seven aces, three digs and one kill and Megan McCay added four kills.

Tokay 0, Roseville 0; Tokay 1, Pleasant Grove 0
In their first two games of the Del Campo Tournament, the Tokay Tigers came away with a tie and a victory.
In Tokay's first game, Tim Rusher made four saves to help the team tie Roseville 0-0. In game two, Steven Martin scored a goal to carry the Tigers over Pleasant Grove. The goal was assisted by Ammar Sovlaban.
The Tigers will finish the tournament with two more games today.
