A little over 500 people attended the Lodi Memorial Hospital Foundation's 23rd annual SummerFest, which was held on Saturday at Woodbridge Winery. Those who attended enjoyed a wide variety of food from 27 restaurants, along with wine from 17 wineries and entertainment provided by the band "In the Mood."
The event raised $119,000, said Donna Shaw, director of the foundation. The money raised will help purchase an image guidance system for surgery, a portable X-ray unit for diagnostic imaging and treadmills for the West Fitness Center, and will also provide financial support for the South Wing expansion project.
The area where the event was held was expanded into the barrel room and Shaw feels it provided more of a relaxed atmosphere.
"I thought (the event) was tremendously successful. It was a lot more open and inviting," she said.
