Soroptimist International insalls new officers
Soroptimist International of Lodi Sunrise recently installed new officers for 2008-09. The theme of the installation was "Bloom Where You Are Planted," representing the fact that we can all have a positive impact no matter where we are or what we do. Bev Gabrielson conducted the installation and presented each new officer with a gardening tool to assist them in their new assignments. New officers are Jan Honey, president; Maxine Crow, vice president; Linda Kronemann, recording secretary; Liz Kass, corresponding secretary; Rosemary Gamblin, treasurer; Bobbe Xenos, director; and Nina Misasi and Judy Dolyniuk, delegates.
Club members enjoyed a buffet dinner and participated in games that tested their knowledge of flowers and plants. The club is looking forward to their 19th year of community service projects that support the community and improve the lives of women and girls. Their first meeting of the year will be held on Sept. 9 at 7 a.m. at the Richmaid Restaurant. Guests are welcome to attend and anyone interested in additional information regarding Soroptimists, should call Jan Honey at 365-9453.
