Joanne Davis receives 'Silent Rotarian' Distinguished Service Award
Joanne Davis, a Lodi real estate professional and long-standing member of the Lodi Sunrise Rotary Club, was recently suprised at the club's weekly meeting by being presented with the Silent Rotarian Award for distinguished service.
The award was presented at the club's July 23rd meeting at Oak Ridge Winery by Rotary District 5220 Governor Janine McClanahan.
The award is given each year to the club member that silently serves the community under the guidelines of Rotary's four-way test:
Is it the truth?
Is it fair to all concerned?
Will it build good will and friendship?
Is it beneficial to all concerned?
"Joanne's selfless volunteerism, and willingness to roll up her sleeves and participate in our club's many projects made her a shoe-in for this award," said Lodi Sunrise President Ralph Cesena Jr. "Joanne epitomizes what the Rotary motto of Service Above Self is all about".
