Lodi Lodge member selected as Mason of the Year
On June 5, Richard Thornton, Lodi Lodge No. 256, Free and Accepted Masons, announced that lodge member Richard O. Wright had been selected as Lodi Lodge "Mason of the Year, 2008." The selection had been made because of Wright's service on many lodge committees and for his service on the insurance committee for the Grand Lodge of California Masons in San Francisco.
Wright will be honored at an award dinner hosted by the Stockton Scottish Rite on July 23. The event, which will honor all Masons of the Year for all valley and foothill lodges, will be held at the Scottish Rite building, 33 E. Alpine St., Stockton.
Wright has been a member of Lodi Lodge for 37 years and has served as lodge master twice. He is part owner of Wright Insurance, which has an office on Kettleman Lane.
For more information, call Will McVicker, lodge secretary, at 333-8406.
