Lodi BPW member installed as district president
The Bay Capital District Business and Professional Women's organization held its district conference at the Stockton Grand Hotel in Stockton on April 11-13. District President Betty Faye Chapman Kaupalolo of Sacramento conducted the meetings. Lodi Business and Professional Women group was the hostess club for this conference.
Those attending from the Lodi BPW were Judy Bader, Paula Beck, Dona Bohnet, Merry Donahue, Joann Duer, Gail Okazaki, Lynn Sausser, Gerry Schook, Jeanne Vetter and District President Elect Jacqueline "Jackie" Zupo.
The dinner and installation of the newly elected officers was held Saturday evening. Zupo was installed as Bay Capital District president for 2008-09. Patti McAllister was the installing officer assisted by Sharla Zupo. Theme and motto chosen by Jackie was "Covering the Bases with Membership, Knowledge and Friends."
Special music for the evening was provided by soloist Sharla Zupo, who sang a few of her mother's favorite songs.
Jackie's special guests were her husband Tony Zupo and daughters, Sharla Zupo and Sherisse Pantojo and husand Joel.
Jackie is only the fourth Lodi BPW member serving as district president â€" the others in the years past were longtime members Lillian Maib, Evelyn Reimche and Maxine Cockayne.
