Kiwanis dedicated tree at Millswood
The Lodi Kiwanis Club recently dedicated a tree planted at Millswood Middle School in Memory of Jim Areida. He had the foresight to make sure a parcel of land was available for a middle school in the northwest quadrant of the city. He lived to see the school built and dedicated.
The tree is a fitting reminder of Areida's love and dedication to the school district and his community. Attending the ceremonies were his wife Trella, daughter Ann Areida Heintz, son Ron Areida and a number of grandchildren. In addition, school board member Richard Jones, Assistant Superintendent Barbara Johnson and Millswood Principal, Sheree Perez also attended.
