In the 48 hours since 10 a.m. Monday, the Lodi Police Department handled 295 calls for service. The following is a sample of calls received by dispatchers.
Tuesday
Drunken Driver
1:18 a.m.: A drunken, speeding driver was arrested on southbound Highway 99 near Harney Lane.
Fight
8:51 a.m.: A female and a registered sex offender were fighting in the 600 block of North Sacramento Street.
Girl finds drugs
12:28 p.m.: A man's young daughter found what looked like a bag of drugs in the 2200 block of Scarborough Drive.
Juvenile Fight
5:19 p.m.: Two juveniles were fighting at Larson Elementary School, 2375 Giannoni Way and were separated by coaches.
Alcohol in a vehicle
6:36 p.m.: People were drinking inside a white four-door Ford sport-utility vehicle that headed east on Lodi Avenue near Washington Street.
Box cutter brandishing
6:37 p.m.: Earlier in the day, a male employee pulled a box cutter on another employee and then walked off the job at ArmorStruxx, 500 S. Beckman Road.
Stolen Truck
7:04 p.m.: A green Toyota pick-up truck was stolen near Elm and Garfield streets.
How to get your mother called
8:28 p.m.: A white truck with "smoke stacks" was following a silver Honda Accord on Lower Sacramento Road near Vine Street. They wound up heading east on Turner Road and south on Church Street. The truck's driver had obeyed traffic laws, so police only called his mother, who said she would deal with him.
Trash can thrower
8:36 p.m.: When a woman asked a man not to park in front of her house in the 1300 block of South School Street, he yelled at her and threw her trash cans.
Domestic Dispute
10:03 p.m.: A man threw a woman to the floor on North School Street. He said she hit him with a flashlight.

Child Abuse
11:34 a.m.: Someone was verbally abusing a child in the 800 block of South Fairmont Avenue.
Stolen Car
12:41 p.m.: A blue Honda Civic was stolen at Vintage West Apartments, 1826 S. Hutchins St.
Stolen, found iPod
1:10 p.m.: An iPod was stolen and recovered at Lodi High School, 3 S. Pacific Ave.
Drunk, in a bathing suit
1:36 p.m.: A woman in a black bathing suit had passed out in front of Starbucks. The 48-year-old was arrested for public intoxication.
Teen vs. mother
3:05 p.m.: After hitting her mother in the face, a teenage girl left the East Walnut Street home.
Wallet Theft
4:27 p.m.: Someone stole an employee's wallet at Lodi Memorial Hospital, 975 S. Fairmont Ave.
Near Tragedy
5:18 p.m.: A 1-year-old boy ran into the road and was almost hit by a car in the 900 block of South Hutchins Street. The male driver stopped and couldn't find any adults who should be taking care of the child.
Child abuse?
5:21 p.m.: A North Church Street woman locked her son in the closet.
Residential Burglary
5:49 p.m.: A home was burglarized in the 1800 block of Providence Way.
Stolen lawn angel
6:41 p.m.: Someone stole a cement angel off a lawn in the 600 block of Corfino Lane.
Tagging and trespassing
7:38 p.m.: Two people were trespassing on the railroad tracks and painting on a wall near Sacramento and Village streets.
Improperly used money
7:45 p.m.: A Mariposa Way woman gave her niece money to buy groceries, but the money wasn't used for that purpose: or returned.
Argument in the street
9 p.m.: Two females, one of whom was pregnant, were arguing in the middle of the road in front of Lodi High School, 3 S. Pacific Ave.
Females Fighting
9:33 p.m.: Two females were physically fighting in the 200 block of Mulberry Circle, and about 15 people were in the area.
