Iced coffee is a great way to cool off at local coffee houses

It may be warm outside, but that doesn't mean you have to skip out on your favorite cup of joe. For that extra jolt of caffeine, many have turned to iced coffees.
A cup of iced coffee can be anything from a regular brew with ice to something a little more flavorful and exotic, such as a coffee Coke float.
Whether it is mixing up a cup at home or visiting your local coffeehouses, there are many ways to have a summer coffee experience. Here are how local coffee shops offer up a variety of of iced coffees:

Mocha mix
Blend all ingredients in the blender.
Java Stop's Cocomochanut Coffee
Coconut powder
Chocolate
Coffee
Blend all ingredients; can be served hot or iced.
Coffee Coke Float
2/3 cup light cream
2 1/2 cups strong coffee
4 scoops coffee ice cream
1 bottle of Coke
Mix the cream and coffee, pour into four glasses (half full). Add a scoop of ice cream to each and then top with Coke.
Serves 4.

Death from the Kettle
6 teaspoons instant coffee
2 teaspoons malt powder
3 teaspoons cocoa powder
1 tablespoon chocolate ice cream
Milk
Put the powders in the bottom of a tall glass. Add a little boiling water, just enough to turn the powders into a thick paste. Fill the rest of the glass with milk, then mix in the ice cream.
Serves 1.
