Battling potential West Nile
Mosquito spraying set for parts of Lodi
Part of Lodi will be sprayed with a pesticide to battle mosquitoes and the potential of the West Nile virus.
Ground spraying is planned between Highway 99 and Hutchins Street south of Lodi Avenue. The boundary goes to Morse Road, just south end of Micke Grove Park.
The San Joaquin County Mosquito and Vector Control District will use Pyrenone 25-5 between 4 to 6:30 a.m. on Friday.
Spraying for adult mosquitoes is done with trucks near sunset or sunrise, when mosquitoes are most active.
