Attorney named top lawyer by 'Law & Politics'
Steve Herum, an attorney with Herum Crabtree Brown Attorneys at Law in Stockton, has been named a Northern California Super Lawyer by "Law & Politics" magazine.
The magazine surveyed 47,000 lawyers in the Northern California before making a selection. Two years ago, Herum was named Land Use Lawyer of the Year by the State Bar Association's "California Lawyer" magazine. It is the only time a Central Valley attorney has received this statewide recognition, according to a press release put out by Herum's office.
New merchants open stores in Lincoln Center
Lincoln Center, at Pacific Avenue and Benjamin Holt Drive in Stockton, has announced that five new merchants have opened or will be opening shops in the popular shopping area.
Barkley's Garden & Outdoor is open at 307B Lincoln Center, and it features garden accents, outdoor furniture and accessories.
Lino Bella, Theadora Fine Lingerie and Salon Genesi are all slated to open their doors soon.
Lino Bella will offer European linens and is located at 265 Lincoln Center. Theadora Fine Lingerie, Located at 354 Lincoln Center, features intimate apparel for women. Both stores will be open in August.
Salon Genesi, at 836 Lincoln Center, was formerly known as Cocoon, and is a full-service hair and nail salon.

Galt designer promoted with decor company
Galt resident Debra Wakefield, a designer with Home & Garden Party, was recently promoted to Silver Designer with the company. In order to achieve the goal, Wakefield made monthly sales of more than $300 and she sponsored two other team members.
Wakefield said she was happy to receive the promotion with the company, which specializes in tabletop stoneware, candles, frame art and home decor.
"The great thing about Home & Garden Party is that there is a sense of unity among its designers; everyone encourages each other," Wakefield said. She went on to thank the company for its support and friendship.
