Garber, Hamel engaged in June
Timothy Garber and Brittany Hamel, of Acampo, were engaged in June.
Garber graduated from Independence High School in 1999, and then from the Kitchen Academy as a certified cook this year. He is the son of Dwayne Garber, of Silver Springs, Nev. and Michelle Koenig, of Acampo.
Hamel graduated from Amador High School in 2004, and then from Western Career College with an Associate of Arts degree and became a registered veterinary technician in 2006. She is the daughter of Chuck Hamel, of Elk Grove and Noreen Morris, of Jackson.
The couple was engaged on June 2 at Starbucks, where Garber surprised Hamel with a ring. They announced their engagement on July 4 at the home of Garber's mother.
The two plan to marry on Oct. 12 at Oak Grove Regional Park in Stockton.
