Tritons win 4th straight Lodi City Summer League swimming title; Knierim sets 3 records

The Piranhas took down the records, but the Tritons took home the title.
Corinne Knierim had a record-breaking performance for the Piranhas but it wasn't enough to dethrone the Tritons, who won their fourth consecutive Lodi City Summer League swimming championships on Sunday at the Tokay High pool.
More than 600 swimmers competed in the meet.
The Tritons finished the two-day meet with 3,101 points and were followed by the Piranhas (2,967), Seals (2,634) and Dolphins (2,426).
While her team came up short in its upset bid, Knierim, swimming in the 13-14 age division, had the best individual performance in Sunday's finals. She set new meet records in the 50-yard freestyle (27.07 seconds), 50 backstroke (31.98) and 100 medley (1:11.07).
The Piranhas also posted a record time of 2:03.83 in the boys 13-14 200 medley relay.
Lucas Salisbury of the Seals, competing in the 13-14 age division, clocked a record time in winning the 100 medley (1:05.40), edging Dillon Smith of the Piranhas by less than a second.
