Man suspected of attacking girlfriend
A 39-year-old man was arrested Saturday night after allegedly punching his girlfriend in the face several times and kicking her in the ribs, face and head, according to the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Department.
Leonard Lee Moore and his girlfriend, with whom he has lived on and off for the past year, were both intoxicated when they got into an argument at 6:19 p.m. in the 6900 block of East Kettleman Lane near Tecklenburg Road, according to a sheriff's report.
Moore kicked the woman with pointed cowboy boots. She had a cut lip, red marks to her left eye, forehead and pain in the chest, pain to her right and left arms, pain in both legs and shortness of breath, according to the report. She was taken to Lodi Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Moore was booked at San Joaquin County Jail in French Camp on suspicion of domestic violence and felony battery requiring professional medical attention, according to the report.
Road work planned on Interstate 5
California Department of Transportation workers will close several ramps and lanes on Interstate 5 this week during construction work. No two consecutive ramps will be closed at the same time.
Two lanes and the auxiliary lanes between March Lane and Charter Way will be closed in both directions at alternate times, northbound from 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. today through Friday, and southbound from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the same days.
The offramps between March Lane and Charter Way will be closed from 7 p.m. to 6 p.m. today through Friday, and the onramps will be closed form 8 p.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists can expect 20-minute delays.
In Manteca, connector ramps from interstate 5 to Highway 120 will be closed in the late evening to early morning hours today through Friday, and multiple lane closures are planned from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. today through Friday on southbound I-5 near Manthey Road, south of Kasson Road.
