In oversized flag glasses and a Miss America sash, Ellon Madill sports as much red, white and blue as she could. Along with friends, cousins and siblings, Madill helped decorate a wagon in flags and drawings, which she entered into the wagon-decorating contest. (Dan Evans/News-Sentinel)
Patriotic styles abound on the Fourth

While most adults stayed low key and cool in T-shirts with sequined and glittery American flags, it was the children who had fun and used their style to show American pride at Lodi Lake's Fourth of July celebration Friday.

One of the most decorated of the children was Ellon Madill, left, who wore big, tinted American flag sunglasses, a Miss America sash, a red, white and blue shirt and a headband with bouncy, bug-like antennas with glittery stars on the ends.
But there were the occasional adults, like Maria Pottratz, who showed her pride in both the United States and Lodi with a bicentennial lei with red, white and blue flowers.

Yeah a lot of people let it slip their minds because global businesses and the media did not do much promoting. They did more promotion for Cinco de Mayo. "

" Just cuz I'm not a lemming who wears a lapel pin flag doesnt mean I'm not patriotic. Gio, whats your point? So they have poles with no flag, bfd. "
I was not asking about people wearing pins. Where did that come from? Do you always have to come back with a counterpoint that had nothing to do with my comment just so you have something to say?

In calling BoA, in downtown, about it, they said they have someone who handles the flags. Yeah, right. The invisible man?
In calling Boston Market about their flag, corporate couldn't believe it, and said there would be one there in a few days. I called in April. The flag must be made from the Emperor's New Clothes.
Then you have businesses that fly the Mexican flag on July 4th, and that would include the card dealer on the Southwest corner of Lodi ave, and Cherokee Lane.
Are you tired of the globalists attacking American sovereignty. language, and culture, yet? Not asking globalists and Socialists. "
