Rainbow Assembly appoints grand cross of color

On March 16, Juliette Davis, of Cloud 7 Rainbow Assembly, International Order of the Rainbow for Girls, was awarded the Grand Cross of Color by the California Grand Assembly at its annual Assembly which was held in Fresno. The Grand Cross of Color is the highest award that can be given to a Rainbow Girl and is awarded only to those who display the highest standards of dedication to the ideals of Rainbow and to community service.

The International Order of the Rainbow for Girls is an international masonic youth group for girls ages 11 through 20. No masonic affiliation is required to join. The Order is dedicated to community service and to providing leadership, poise and self-confidence training to its members. During Grand Assembly 2008, the 70 Rainbow Girl Assemblies across the state raised and donated over $85,000 to the Grand Service Project, “the Teddy Bear Cancer Foundation, which provides support to the parents of medium and low-income youth cancer patients. The 2008-09 Grand Service Project is, “Dogs for Diabetics,” which provides medical alert assistance dogs for children and adults with type 1 diabetics.

Davis joined Cloud 7 in 2004 and she is a two-time Worthy Advisory of the Assembly. The Assembly meets at the Woodbridge Masonic Lodge, located at 1040 Augusta, Woodbridge.
