Will Americans pay global tax?
Did you know that there is a plan, which is supposed to start at the beginning of next year, to force American citizens to pay a global tax to the United Nations?
France has already, or will start paying at the beginning of July, Chile is going to have to pay and even Great Britain has given in to the U.N.'s demands.
Secretary General Ban Ki-moon is coming to America and the U.N. tax collectors can't wait to get your money. And, the plan is to take it whether you want to pay or not. Ban Ki-moon expects to get more than 80 billion dollars from Americans every year. He says that Americans have to much money and that we are selfish and greedy. I just learned that Senator Obama has a bill in the Senate to force Americans to pay this U.N. tax.
An act of Congress is our only defense against Ban Ki-moon's global tax schemes. There is a bill in Congress right now introduced by Congressman On Paul to stop the U.N. from stealing our money. We already pay enough taxes. We don't owe Ban Ki-moon or the crooked U.N. anything. He has no right to demand that you pay him a global tax.
We must get the United States out of the United nations right now!

Brian wrote on Jun 18, 2008 8:02 AM:
With the record of corruption within impoverished countries, people will question giving them money. That can be handled by giving them the industry directly, not the money. To build a balanced economy, provide consumer buying power, and develop arteries of commerce that will absorb the production of these industries, contractors and labor in those countries should be used. Legitimacy and security of contracts is the basis of any sound economy. Engineers know what those costs should be and, if cost overruns start coming in, the contractor who has proven incapable should be replacedjust as any good contract would require. When provided the industry, as opposed to the money to build industry, those people will have physical capital. The only profits to be made then are in production; there is no development money to intercept and send to a Swiss bank account.

It seems to me he has spoke the truth.
Now, if camp Obama is so concerned about this eroding Obama's credibility they should be that much more concerned that it will erode his credibility even more given he won't come clean about his Muslim upbringing. It isn't about what his past is it's his reluctance to speak truthfully about his past. Now, given he is running for the highest position in government it concerns me what other things about him will come out of the woodwork if he gets elected.
The liberal media is doing everything they can to make sure anyone who questions his credibility we be thus
put under the microscope for even suggesting he has a questionable past.
This is not fair. "

Since we aren't even that close to the conventions (in campaign terms) I would suspect that the political landscape will change significantly causing Obama to revisit his opposition to all but one of these town hall debates.
As we have all been taught well over the past six months, one's candidacy can easily turn on a dime. "

Most likely.
I was disappointed to see that the town hall debates seem to have fallen through. I thought that could have been a real move in the right direction. "

But there is no one who seriously believes that Obama is a Muslim. Yet even if he is (which I absolutely do NOT believe), aside from the fact that he hasn't revealed it (which would raise other, different questions), what real difference would that make?
Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could conduct this election without the idiots who claim that Obama is a Muslim or that McCain is either a war criminal or a North Vietnamese sympathizer?
We have two good candidates who have different ideas about where to take the country. Why not have them discuss those ideas and then let the people choose without the nation collectively wallowing in the mud? "

And what other independent evidence do you have, Brian that supports Malik's claim?
Obama's religion is not in question. He is a Christian. Certainly his 20-year membership in a questionable Christian church has become an issue, the result of which is now in the hands of the voters.
But there is no one who seriously believes that Obama is a Muslim. Yet even if he is (which I absolutely do NOT believe), aside from the fact that he hasn't revealed it (which would raise other, different questions), what real difference would that make? "

Sam, you're aware that most people do everthing they can to pay the least amount of taxes as possible?
Especially in your tax bracket and above, these people have an array of ways to hide their income in tax shelters.
Why would you want to enable this more?
Obama's plan is counterproductive and contrary to free market economics. "

Are we to assume that Obama will fork over a portion of his income in the form of a global tax with no protests?
That will be a cold day in Hell. He'll find some way to make himself exempt from this global tax. After all, he's not too rich or greedy and he'll here nothing of the sort from anyone implying this.
