Lynn Okasaki
Clinical Laboratory Scientist
Lynn Naomi Okasaki, 55, of Sacramento and formerly of Lodi, died on April 24 while vacationing in the U.S. Virgin Islands. She was born on Jan. 11, 1953, in Lodi.
Ms. Okasaki graduated from Live Oak Elementary School, Lodi High School and California State University, Sacramento. She was a Clinical Laboratory Scientist in Sacramento and retired from U.C. Davis Medical Center in March 2008.
As a child, she attended the Lodi Buddhist Church and was active in community sports. She enjoyed traveling, fishing, golfing, reading, crafting, cooking, music, photography, antiques and collectibles, gem hunting, MacNexus Computer Club and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her brothers, Robert Okasaki, of Karatsu, Japan, Stanley Okasaki, of Oakland, David Okasaki, of Roseville, and Mark Okasaki, of Sacramento; and sisters, Emily Okasaki, of Stockton, and Pamela Okasaki, of Danville.
A private memorial and Forty-ninth Day service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday at the Lodi Buddhist Church, 23 S. Stockton St., Lodi, with the Reverend Harry Gyokyo Bridge officiating.
