Honea, Hughes to wed in summer

Mike Honea and Janet Hughes, both of Lodi, were engaged in February.
Honea graduated from Lodi High School. He is employed by Buckles-Smith Electric. He is the son of Don Honea, of Fredericktown, Mo. and Melba Honea, of Columbiana, Ala.
Hughes graduated from Roseville High School. She is the employed by Collins Electrical Company. She is the daughter of Edwin Bowerman, of Chino, and Abby Winans, of Modesto.
The couple was engaged on Feb. 14 at Lodi Lake. Following dinner at Pietros, they stopped at Lodi Lake for an evening walk. After stopping at the gazebo, Honea knelt down on one knee and proposed. They announced their engagement on Feb. 15 by calling friends.
The two plan to marry mid-summer in Lake Tahoe.
