Business start-up class

The San Joaquin Delta College Small Business Development Center is offering a small business start-up class on Wednesday from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the center, 56 S. Lincoln St. Stockton. Cost is $25; call 954-5089.

Red Cross health and safety classes

The San Joaquin County Chapter of the American Red Cross is offering the following health and safety classes:

  • An adult CPR/AED and first aid class on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Topics will include respiratory and cardiac emergencies for adults; first aid for broken bones, bleeding, burns; and treatment for shock, sudden illnesses and how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED). Cost is $55.

  • A child care first aid and adult, child and infant CPR class will be held on Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The course meets the California State requirement for child care providers. Cost is $70.

    Computer classes

    The LOEL Center is offering free computer classes on Tuesdays and Fridays at 10:30 a.m. For more information, call 369-1591.

    Yoga classes at Hutchins Street Square

    Hutchins Street Square is hosting a yoga class on Mondays and Thursdays from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The class includes stretching postures and breathing practice to strengthen the body and mind. For more information or to register, call 333-5511 or visit www.lodiarts.org.

    Nature Center's anniversary

    The Nature Center at Oak Grove Regional Park in Stockton will celebrate its 27th anniversary from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Events will include a guided bird and nature walk, live animal presentations by U.C. Davis' California Raptor Center and Lodi's Great Valley Serpentarium, face painting and craft activities table. There is a park entry fee of $5 per vehicle and the activities are free to the public. The park is located on Eight Mile Road, just east of Interstate 5 in Stockton.
