Chatfield, Young are married
Chaz Chatfield, of Clements, and Ashley Young, of Lockeford, were married last August.
Chatfield graduated from the Army Navy Academy in 2001. He attended Colorado State University and then graduated from New Mexico Military Institute with a degree in liberal arts and speech communication in 2005. He is employed by Chatfield Construction. He is the son of Chuck and Carolyn Chatfield, of Clements.
Young graduated from Lodi High School in 2001, and then from California State University, Chico with a bachelor of arts degree with an option in interior design in 2006. She is employed as the hotel property designer for Geweke Properties Hospitality Division. She is the daughter of Mike and Claudia Young, of Lockeford.
The couple was married on Aug. 11, 2007, at St. Joachim's Catholic Church in Lockeford with Father Michael Kelly officiating. An outdoor reception was held at the Chatfield Ranch in Clements.
The bride wore a strapless, ivory satin princess-style gown with the bodice, hem and train accented with fine embroidery enhanced with crystals. Her veil was chapel-length, made with the same crystals adorning the edges. She carried a bouquet of coral, dark orange and ivory roses; orange calla lilies; brown berries and greenery.
The best man was Robert Pinnell, of Lodi, friend of the groom. The groomsmen were Ian Warner, Kenny Whiting and Nick Burgard, of Fort Collins, Colo., all college friends of the groom; Andrew Geha, of Omaha, Neb., college friend of the groom; and the late Ray White, best friend of the groom who was killed in Iraq and posthumously represented by a sword and saber.
The Matron of honor was Leslie Sheets, of Galt, sister of the bride. The bridesmaids were Ryan Burke Kern, Marissa Hunter Yeager, Kelli Rader, Stacy Williams and Lindsey Williams, all high school friends of the bride. An honorary bridesmaid was Jane Coppinger, of Fort Collins, Colo., friend of the groom. The junior bridesmaids were Brittany Young and Kendell Sheets, both nieces of the bride.
The flower girls were Ryan Sheets, niece of the bride, and Ellon Madill, niece and goddaughter of the groom. The ring bearer was Reese Robinson, nephew of the groom. Handing the bride flowers to add to her bouquet as she walked down the aisle were Callee Jo and Caitlin Newport; Evan, Zibby and Caroline Madill; and Conner Robinson, nieces and nephews of the groom. The alter servers were Courtney Newport and Chase Robinson, niece and nephew of the groom. The guest book attendant was Nicole Karver, friend of the bride. The gift attendant was Aimee Meidinger, friend of the bride. Hostess was Alaina Young, sister-in-law of the bride.
The couple spent their honeymoon at the Grand Wailea Resort in Maui, Hawaii and have made their home in Lodi.
