Athlete: Lucas Birchard

High School: Elliot High
College/Pro: William Jessup Univ.
The junior wingman was named the California Pacific Conference Player of the Week for the second time this season in mid-December.
He had 26 points and three assists in an 86-68 victory against Pacific Union College on Dec. 13 and 21 points, nine rebounds, seven blocks and four assists in an 82-72 win over Bethany University on Dec. 15. He also had 22 points, 13 rebounds, five assists and three blocks in a 77-68 victory over Santa Cruz.
Jessup is 9-5 overall and 3-0 in conference action largely due to the play of Birchard, who leads the team in scoring (16.3 points per game) and blocks (1.4), and is second in rebounds (6.6).

The junior guard had six points on two 3-pointers and two rebounds in a 63-52 win over Idaho on Dec. 30. Roberts is averaging 1.9 points per game, all of her 15 points coming on 3s.

The senior guard had 10 points, six rebounds, five assists and three steals in a 64-52 win over Brown on Dec. 30. She had nine points, five rebounds and three steals in a 56-55 loss to Rhode Island on Dec. 29 and scored a career-high 21 points in an 82-69 loss to Northeastern on Dec. 22.

The sophomore guard had seven points, three assists and a steal in 28 minutes in a 73-59 win over Wayne State (Neb.) on Dec. 18. He had nine points, three assists and three rebounds in 22 minutes in a 70-51 win over William Jewell on Dec. 16.

The freshman forward had nine points, all in the second half, in a 71-64 win over Ohlone College on Dec. 14. In 17 games this season, Wilson is averaging 14.9 points per game.

The sophomore forward had four points, five rebounds, three assists, a block and a steal in 17 minutes of action in a 58-57 loss to Eastern Washington on Dec. 22. He had two points, three rebounds, two assists and a steal in an 84-65 loss to Washington on Dec. 18. Thomas had two points and a steal in nine minutes during a 76-73 overtime loss to San Jose State on Dec. 28.
