Two killed in Thornton crash; authorities can't ID victims
Logbook
Two people were killed Saturday night when the GMC Sonoma pick-up truck they were in ran off the road, hit a guardrail and rolled on its side, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Both victims were burned severely and could not be identified, said CHP officer Adrian Quintero. Records from the California Department of Motor Vehicles showed a Woodbridge address, but when officers tried to find the residence, they realized that no such address exists, Quintero said.
"We absolutely have nothing to go on right now," he added.
The crash took place at 6:40 p.m. on Kyle Road east of Thornton Road near the Union Pacific Railroad tracks.
Anyone who knows of two missing people missing are asked to call the Stockton CHP office at 943-8600.
