Gore is trying to make people think

Tuesday, November 6, 2007 6:45 AM PST

Mr. Gore is not running for president.

He is only trying to make people think a little and raise their awareness of a possible catastrophe that could confront all the living beings on Mother Earth.

If you do your research well, you will find fossil fuels are a major contributor of carbon monoxide to the atmosphere. Awareness and ideology might possibly be the only avenues to protect future generations.

Sir Isaac Newton had a theorem: "For every action there is an opposite reaction." I do not believe Bruce Schweigerdt is a climate scientist. What are his credentials?

I am an environmental biologist and believe I have the training to analyze the data. There is a rational debate going on, and as time passes the human race will face some tough decisions because the window of opportunity to do something is closing fast.

" Killio gets it. Fear is the liberal game and you’ll never see Republicans use fear as a political tool. As for me, I’ve never felt so secure as I have since we have been alerted to color-coded Terror Level Threats. We must act now if we are to allow our greatest president, George W. Bush, to suspend our constitution as our democratic allies in The War Against Terror in Pakistan have done. Only after our own constitution has been thwarted and all of those silly liberal civil rights have been curtailed will I feel relaxed. "

" And he is lining his pockets as he does it. Great endorsement, always follow the money. Was it CO or CO2 that was the greenhouse gas? And was warming caused by the gas or was the gas caused by the warming? Important question which the data says goes against Man made global warming. But we'll just ignore that. Fear is much better.... "

" To Brian, I guess we'll have to contact all the scientists throughout the world and tell them what they say about global climate change is liberal talking points. Get a grip!! "

" As faithful Republicans, we must fight liberals who wish to destroy our way of life by limiting how much they pollute. We must publicly humiliate those who oppose toxins just because they have heard someone like Al Gore say they are unhealthy. The liberals, with their agenda, want to rip from our grasp our God-given entitlement to throw, burn, or dump anything we want, wherever we want and they must be stopped. God Bless America! See you at the mall! "

" Yes, Daniel is exactly right. Global warming is just another get-rich-quick scheme put forward by liberals looking to make another quick buck off us conservatives and I’m tired of them getting rich at our expense. Government scientists, working under the direction of our president, have said there is no such thing as global warming and I believe them before I’d believe a bunch of fake air-brushed photographs showing dirt where glaciers used to be. " We have come a long way since then. Yet, the stench I hear from those in denial of global climate change makes me wonder if we really have progressed beyond the dark ages. It's interesting to see so many on the left having enough brains to understand global warming yet none of them have enough brains to understand the nee for national security. As a conservative, the issue of global climate change is where I disagree with their denial of it. "

" Frank, what are your credentials as a climate scientist? You're an environmental biologist! Your kind are the ones are responsible for killing humans by not allowing highway safety projects to be built (i.e. highway 12 widening). Ferry Shrimp, Vernal Pools, Elderberry Beetles, Giant Garter Snakes, Kit Foxes, Swensen's Hawks, migratory birds, varies Trees, etc., are all more important than human lives to you sick people. "

Brian wrote on Nov 6, 2007 8:11 AM:

" Thank You Frank. It just happens to be Gore is still a politician and he has a lot of influence. The study of global climate change is not a perfect science. We are learning more every day about the effects of global climate change. Much like the other sciences that are still in their infancies, we must not jump to conclusions. Many people in the past were tarred and feathered or burned at the stake for thinking outside the box. cont "

" Other than that, Al Gore is a great guy, worthy of the nobel prize, fighting for the prevention of world disaster. The council on foreign relations chose a good man. "

" I have a hypothesis that while Bill Clinton was opening the White House to Chinese to allow for unlimited free flow of top secret information, Al Gore was assisting a lady, who I believe was named Maria Hsia, in her business of securing green cards for Chinese spies. During the Clinton-Gore years, the chinese stole drawings on how to build a MIRV-ed nuclear warhead, and a neutron bomb. "
