Lodi mobile home park's water could be safe by Monday
Tests will be performed during the weekend to determine if the water at a mobile home park south of Lodi is safe to drink.
The West Lane Mobile Home Park shut off its drinking water system last month because of multiple positive tests for coliform bacteria. The park notified residents that its drinking water was not safe to drink until San Joaquin County health officials could give the all clear.
The mobile home park owner disinfected the park's water filters this week, said Adrienne Elisaesser, a county environmental health specialist. Tests will be performed this weekend to determine if the water is safe to drink.
"The unsafe alert will remain in place until the results come back," Elisaesser said. "Hopefully, we will lift the order on Monday."
County health departments monitor water systems that serve up to 200 residents. Water systems that serve more than 200 residents are monitored by the State Department of Public Health.
