An attorney's sport-utility vehicle allegedly struck a mobile food vendor's vehicle on Thursday afternoon on Turner Road.

Along with both vehicles being damaged, the driver of the mobile food vehicle, a pregnant woman, was taken to an area hospital with complaints of pain.

The 12:26 p.m. collision happened after Patrick Riddle, 62, of Acampo, pulled out onto westbound Turner Road at Beckman Road, Lodi Police Motor Officer Larry Vietz said. Riddle allegedly did not see an oncoming westbound mobile food vendor's vehicle, driven by Karla Gonzalez, 28, of Sacramento.

Gonzalez, who is pregnant, was taken by ambulance to Lodi Memorial Hospital with complaints of pain. Riddle was not injured, though his 2006 Acura sustained damaged.

" I sure hope there are no serious injuries in this accident and I seriously pray that Karla did not suffer any trauma to herself or her child. People, as the weather worsens, please be careful on slick streets and while on Turner Road, please be aware of children near or crossing streets ! Please slow down. You'll get there on time. "
