Lodi Police Department
In the 48 hours since 9 a.m. Monday, the Lodi Police Department handled 294 calls for service. The following is a sample of calls received by dispatchers:
Monday
12:30 p.m.: Someone found a baseball bat in a trash can at the car wash near Main Street and Lodi Avenue.
12:41 p.m.: A 45-year-old man was breaking things in a Westwood Avenue garage. He was arrested on a warrant and on suspicion of burglary.
12:49 p.m.: An Eden Street resident's identity was stolen.
2:49 p.m.: Someone burglarized a home in the 300 block of East Lodi Avenue.
2:49 p.m.: A white sport-utility vehicle was dragging a bumper as it headed south on Cherokee Lane from Lockeford Street.
3:23 p.m.: A dog had been left inside a copper-colored truck since 10 a.m. while the owner was inside the Watering Hole bar at Victor Road and Cluff Avenue. The dog's owner emerged from the bar when animal control officers arrived, and police were called to arrest him for public intoxication.
3:25 p.m.: After urinating on the corner of Church Street and Lodi Avenue, a drunken man headed north.
4:30 p.m.: A habitually drunken man broke a chair in the 300 block of South Central Avenue, then headed south with his shopping cart.
6:18 p.m.: Two shoplifting suspects were fighting with security at Big Kmart, 520 S. Cherokee Lane. Exactly four hours later, a 36-year-old male shoplifting suspect was fighting with security.
7:17 p.m.: A truck caught fire at Kettleman Lane and Tienda Drive.
7:23 p.m.: Two dogs were fighting in the 1600 block of Zinfandel Drive.
Tuesday
12:25 a.m.: Two men were physically fighting in the 1700 block of West Vine Street. One left in a truck and was arrested for driving under the influence.
5:16 a.m.: Someone stole a green 1994 four-door Honda Accord in the 300 block of Pioneer Drive.
7:37 a.m.: After getting into a vehicle collision, a blue or black Chevrolet left Longs Drugs, 100 W. Lodi Ave. The vehicle, occupied by three people, had black tape on the rear passenger window.
8:16 a.m.: A 32-year-old woman with a history of methamphetamine use left the Lodi Memorial Hospital emergency room, 975 S. Fairmont Ave., with an IV needle still in her arm.
1 p.m.: Someone was dealing drugs in the parking lot of McDonald's, 841 E. Kettleman Lane.
1:03 p.m.: A 2007 silver and blue Honda motorcycle was stolen at Vintage West Apartments, 1826 S. Hutchins St.
2:09 p.m.: The driver of a white GMC Yukon ran two red lights while heading west on Turner Road near Ham Lane.
2:57 p.m.: After a domestic altercation on South Garfield Street, a 21-year-old man was arrested.
3:36 p.m.: A shirtless man was carrying a woman's purse as he walked south on Mills Avenue near Vista Drive.
3:45 p.m.: A student and teacher were arguing at Panera Bread, 2533 W. Kettleman Lane.
4:03 p.m.: An employee, who is on parole for identity theft, was accused of fraud in the 900 block of Black Diamond Way.
4:40 p.m.: A 46-year-old male shoplifting suspect had drugs in his possession when security detained him at Wal-Mart, 2530 W. Kettleman Lane.
4:56 p.m.: After a domestic altercation on Liebig Street, a 27-year-old man was arrested.
5:10 p.m.: A female patient was starting a fight in the emergency room at Lodi Memorial Hospital, 975 S. Fairmont Ave. At 7:59 p.m. she was again causing problems.
8:24 p.m.: A juvenile on a motorcycle was pulling a skateboard while riding on Loma Drive near Holly Drive.
Wednesday
3:56 a.m.: Someone was battered at Main Hotel, 4 S. Main St.
4:44 a.m.: After breaking a female's window in the 200 block of Lambert Court, a female suspect left the scene.
8:34 a.m.: Someone was inside a planter and refusing to leave Security Stor-All, 645 Hale Road.
8:38 a.m.: Cats in the 800 block of Tilden Drive were disappearing, and someone thought a neighbor was trapping them and then dumping them somewhere in the county.
