Lodi Police Department
In the 24 hours since 9:45 a.m. Monday, the Lodi Police Department handled 168 calls for service. The following is a sample of calls received by dispatchers:
Monday
9:49 a.m.: A 76-year-old woman hit the gas pedal instead of the brake and drove into the east side of a doctor's office building in the 1300 block of West Lodi Avenue. Nobody was injured.
10:31 a.m.: The registration on a green four-door Ford Explorer had expired four years earlier, but the owner drove it to Save Mart, 530 W. Lodi Ave.
10:51 a.m.: A white 1988 Jeep Cherokee was stolen during the weekend at Enterprise Rent-A-Car, 488 E. Kettleman Lane. A 25-year-old man was arrested.
11:19 a.m.: Someone regularly walks a dog when students are outside at Lodi High School, 3 S. Pacific Ave. Police found drugs in the man's possession.
11:23 a.m.: Someone stole $400 from a Sturla Street resident, and a stepdaughter was suspected.
12:19 p.m.: A vehicle collision in the 200 block of East Lodi Avenue turned into a verbal argument, and then one involved person left the scene.
1:08 p.m.: A male and a pregnant female got into a physical fight in the 2000 block of Thrush Court.
1:20 p.m.: Someone in a green vehicle was looking at children while circling Van Buskirk Park, 600 N. Pleasant Ave.
2:42 p.m.: People got into a dispute regarding where children were dropped off at Vinewood School, 1600 W. Tokay St., and then one person began following the other person.
3:18 p.m.: A blue 1992 Isuzu was stolen in the 600 block of South Rose Street.
3:46 p.m.: A female thought a man was spying on her in the 200 block of Hilborn Street.
5:20 p.m.: Eggs were thrown at a car and a tire was slashed in the 600 block of Evergreen Drive.
5:52 p.m.: A vehicle was stolen from the Park and Ride at Victor and Beckman roads.
5:57 p.m.: A man on a bicycle was taking things from a residence in the 400 block of East Walnut Street. He was wearing jeans, boots and a flowered shirt.
6:02 p.m.: The rider of a green Kawasaki motorcycle was wearing no helmet while doing wheelies and speeding in the 800 block of South Sacramento Street.
6:26 p.m.: A North School Street man's ex got rid of his property.
6:33 p.m.: Five juveniles rode a golf cart to Juice It up, 2533 W. Kettleman Lane.
7:43 p.m.: A loose dog was barking and chasing children in the 300 block of Rainier Drive.
7:55 p.m.: Ten to 12 men got into a fight at Hale Park, 208 E. Locust St., and one man was bleeding.
8:06 p.m.: Someone burglarized a home in the 500 block of Evergreen Drive. Two people were later arrested, and police suspect them in other burglaries.
9:28 p.m.: During an argument in the 200 block of South Garfield Street, a man brandished a revolver.
11:10 p.m.: A man called police from a pay phone at the Depot, 24 S. Sacramento St., saying people were going to kill him. He said more than 10 people were so close to him that he couldn't talk about it. Officers learned that he was not taking his psychiatric medication and was under the influence of methamphetamine.
11:59 p.m.: Someone stole a vehicle in the 900 block of Holly Drive.
Tuesday
7:23 a.m.: A business was burglarized in the 200 block of West Oak Street.
9:55 a.m.: The driver and female passengers of a red Chevrolet Blazer were standing on the running board outside the vehicle and listening to loud music as it traveled on Genie Way.
