On a third teen found drunk near the Downtown theater:
"There are few choices left: 1) We need to try a curfew. If you are under 16 you have to be off the streets by 8 p.m. If you are under 18 years old, off the streets by 10 p.m. 2) We need to shame the parents into being responsible. Print the parents' name in the paper." — Third drunk is too much
"I'll be glad when one of these kids dies from all this drinking and it gets you Lodi parents' attention and stops the behavior! This teenager was 17 so I assume he would have been driving if he didn't get caught drunk first." — I'll be glad
"Interact with your kids. Don't dump them off at the movie and expect the cops to shovel them off of the street and take them to Lodi Memorial Hospital for you!" — Attn: Parents
"Why don't these kids take some responsibility for their actions? Make them clean the bathrooms the next day or pick up gum off the streets?" — Bar vs. movies
"Sure your kids say they are going to the movies but are they really? As a parent of three, 25, 22, and 19, I would always call my kids to see where they where and what they were doing. And once I even caught my son dunk with keys in his pocket; needless to say I picked him up that night." — Parent
"Shame on you for assuming all of these parents are at fault. No one has perfect kids and the majority of parents are doing the best they can." — to the perfect
"And people wonder why there is no bowling alley and miniature golf for teens. Really, who wants to open a business to attract teens and have to put up with this garbage behavior?" — Lee
