A celebrity lineup for the A.G. Spanos Pro-Am

The Sixth Annual A.G. Spanos Pro-Am, which benefits 90 local and regional charities, will be held on Monday at 8 a.m. at The Reserve at Spanos Park.

Participating donors will be paired with entertainment and athletic celebrities and a professional golfer from the Golden State Pro Tour will play with each foursome.

Admission is free and the celebrity lineup includes: Eric Wright (49ers), Keena Turner (49ers), Mike Merriweather (Steelers, Vikings), Daryle Lamonica (Raiders), J.J. Stokes (49ers), Willie Harper (49ers), Jim Barr (Giants), Ed Sprague Jr. (Blue Jays, Pacific baseball coach), Don Carrithers (Giants), Bob Thomason (Pacific basketball coach), Phillip Rivers (Chargers), Norv Turner (Chargers coach), Patrika Darbo ("Day of Our Lives"), Kevin Dobson ("Knots Landing"), Kathy Garver ("Family Affair"), Tyler Mane ("Troy"), Don Felder (The Eagles), Paula Trickey ("The OC"), Marc McClure ("Superman"), and Mickey Jones ("Home Improvement").

Baseball
Lodi Junior Giants


The 2007 Lodi Junior Giants baseball program is taking applications for players, coaches and parent volunteers.

The Junior Giants baseball program is endorsed by the San Francisco Giants and it is a free, non-competitive baseball program for boys and girls 5-13 years old (sixth grade).

Games and practices begin in July and end in late August.

The first league meeting is scheduled for Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the Lodi Police Department community room.

Feel free to attend the meeting for registration, information or to volunteer your coaching services.

JACL Opener

The Lodi JACL will play its first home game of the season against the San Francisco Hawks at 6 p.m. today at Zupo Field.

Lodi split two games at Fresno last weekend. In the opener, Ken Fukunoto hit three home runs in Lodi's 16-14 victory. Lodi's Bucky Nakaji hit a grand slam in the second game but it wasn't enough in a 13-10 setback.

Softball
Adult Sign-ups


Registration for adult-league softball is now being taken through June 27 at the Lodi Parks and Recreation Department, 125 N. Stockton St. Coed, women's and men's recreational and competitive divisions are being offered.

Completed rosters and fees of $375 for coed and $350 for all other leagues will be accepted at the parks and recreation department. All rosters after June 27 must pay a $25 late fee. Play begins in mid-August.
