Aaron Covarruvias

College or job plans: University of California, Berkeley.

Goals for the next 10 years: Within the next 10 years, I hope to obtain a bachelor's degree in either political science of international relations. I am also considering advanced studies or law school. Most importantly, I want to be happy and find a career in which I help others and give back to the community around me.

Clubs and activities: Student Government (treasurer), Conflict Management, National Honor Society (treasurer), CSF, Link Crew, track, Spanish Club, Superintendent's Budget Advisory Committee, Lodi Cooks employee.

Most memorable experience: Not one particular experience stands out, but I will never forget my friends and all the good times we've had together. From hanging out all the time, dressing up for rallies and games, and even getting into a little trouble, we've had an amazing time, and I wouldn't change a thing.

Elisa Moles

College or job plans: Smittcamp Family Honors College at CSU Fresno, majoring in both music and chemistry.

Goals for the next 10 years: I plan to pursue a master's degree in flute performance. My aspiration is to perform as a member of a professional symphony orchestra; I would especially love to record music for film soundtracks! Additionally, I hope to have an accompanying job in either chemistry or teaching music.

Clubs and activities: Tokay High School Marching/Symphonic/Prep Band, Band Council secretary, All-State Honor Band, San Joaquin County Honor Band, All-Northern California Honor Band, Science Olympiad, National Honors Society, California Scholarship Federation, Central Valley Youth Symphony, elections officer for November 7, 2006, election, Elementary Science Olympiad event assistant, volunteer musician at church services.

Most memorable experience: The Tokay Band earned the opportunity to march down Main Street in Disneyland my sophomore year. I was so excited to be playing in Disneyland, but I was really nervous at the same time.

Leylen Salen

College or job plans: UC Davis majoring in biological sciences, premed. Then I'll go to med school and become a pediatrician.

Goals for the next 10 years: I want to become a doctor so I have about 10 years of school left. After I graduate, I plan to work for awhile and save some money. When I have enough saved, I want to treat people for free.

Clubs and activities: MSA ( vice president and president), Middle Eastern Club (treasurer), CSF (community service liason and lifetime member), NHS, Link Crew (commissioner), tutor elementary students, Teen Court juror.

Most memorable experience: Going to Palestine (summer of 2005). Being in another country really opened up my eyes and I got to see the land from which my family originated.

College or job plans: I will attend UC Davis to study neurobiology and physiology.

Goals for the next 10 years: After UC Davis, will attend medical school to become a doctor.

Clubs and activities: CSF, Lifeline Christian Club, varsity basketball, varsity water polo and swimming, Principles Advisory Council, Conflict Management, Breakthrough Youth Ministries, Boys State.

Most memorable experience: All the good times I've had with all my friends and family. I can't pick just one.

College or job plans: UC Davis.

Goals for the next 10 years: To get my masters to be a pediatric nurse practitioner.

Clubs and activities: CSF member, piano youth worship leader at First Baptist Church, Link Crew leader, swimming, waterpolo, Lifeline Christian Club secretary, math tutor.

Most memorable experience: Going on a Mexico Missions trip to Tijuana, Mexico with my church youth group (First Baptist Church) and playing with the children there.

College or job plans: In the fall, I will be attending Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, double majoring in engineering and music.

Goals for the next 10 years: After I finish my bachelor's degree, I will likely attend graduate school. I would like to hold an engineering position while still being able to perform for pay on my instrument of choice, the trumpet.

Clubs and activities: Troop 199 Boy Scouts of America (Eagle Scout), Tokay High Science Olympiad, Tokay High Symphonic/marching/pep band, San Joaquin County Honor Band, All-Northern Honor Band, All-State Honor Band, Central Valley Youth Symphony, Emanuel Lutheran Church youth group, Scholastic Clay Target Program, National Boy Scout Jamboree (2005), California Scholarship Federation, National Honor Society.

Most memorable experience: The most memorable experience I have was hiking in the Grand Tetons while in Wyoming on a service project. We hiked 20 miles in one day up a rather steep incline. Since we were behind schedule, we had to practically run down the mountain to get off the trail before darkness fell. It was a grueling experience but am proud to have met the challenge.

College or job plans: I will be attending University of California, San Diego. After four years as a pre-med student majoring in biochemistry, I will attend medical school. Afterwards, I will complete three to four years of residency in hopes of becoming a pediatrician.

Goals for the next 10 years: I hope college will allow me to become more independent and to learn to live on my own as I start my career as a pediatrician.

Clubs and activities: California Scholarship Federation (9th through 12th), president (12th), vice president (10th through 11th), secretary (12th), Spanish Club (9th through 12th), president ( 11th), Key Club (9th through 12th), treasurer (11th), National Honor Society (10th through 12th), Vietnamese Club (11th through 12th, treasurer (12th), Volunteer at Parklane School (9th through 12th), tutoring elementary schools and assembling homework packets, Volunteer at Delta Blood Bank (10th through 11th), serving refreshments to blood donors, Volunteer at Pregnancy Resource Center (10th through 11th), sorting baby clothes, organizing diapers and vacuuming conference rooms, Coach for Elkhorn Middle Science Olympiad Team (11th), teaching students about heredity, Coach for Tokay High Science Olympiad Team (12th), teaching students about genetics, Life teen at Presentation Church (9th through 12th), Team member at Jamba Juice (12th), making smoothies and working as cashier.

Most memorable experience: My most memorable experience would have to be my first day as a freshman at Tokay. I was young and naive. Now, as I look back on my high school career, I am amazed at how much I have grown from a lost freshman in high school to a young woman preparing to become a freshman in college.

Goals for the next 10 years: Finish school and become a pharmacist, tour Europe, go scuba diving.

Clubs and activities: Science Olympiad (four years), National Honor Society — vice president (member for three years), California Scholarship Federation (four years), Academic Club (two years), Academic Decathlon (two years), Science Club — president (member for four years), Cross Country (three years), Lodi Public Library volunteer (three years), City of Lodi Storm Drain Detective (two years).

Most memorable experience: When I was a freshman I had the pleasure of being on the Science Olympiad varsity team and we were fortunate enough to go to nationals that year in Pennsylvania. The best part of the trip was being able to meet new people from all around the United States and learn a little bit about them and their home town.
