Bianca Juarez has had an influence on some of her friends by encouraging them to finish high school and go on to college.

"To be somebody in life," she said.

For her own efforts at Liberty High School, she has been named the top graduate.

"It makes me feel proud and happy they chose me as the main speaker," she said.

Juarez, 18, plans on going to San Joaquin Delta College or joining the U.S. Army, with the goal of someday being a medical assistant or a doctor.

"I like to help people," she said.

Juarez's role model is her government and economics teacher David Johnson. She said he helped her with school, to prepare for the future and with any problems she had.

She said she enjoys art and soccer. Juarez's drawings have won awards and she plays soccer through a league in Stockton.

She enjoyed making new friends and learning in high school.
