Clubs and activities: In school, I participated mainly on the varsity drill team (dance team) for two years and one year as a captain. The most important thing I have participated in is the Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership Program. This program is dedicated to teaching youth leadership skills and promoting community involvement. It is a worldwide program that involves a weekend seminar for sophomores in high school, and even a chance to go to the World Leadership Conference in Washington, D.C. (among hundreds of others). I went through the program as a sophomore, was chosen to go to the World Leadership Program, returned as a volunteer for the seminar, and have been both a secretary and vice president for the Alumni Association for the Northern California chapter. This program is volunteer based and has greatly impacted my life. I feel it has personally taught me much more than anything I have experienced so far in life.
Most memorable experiences: Traveling to France with my French class and to Washington, D.C. for the Hugh O'Brian World Leadership Conference. Being in a foreign country and experiencing the culture, language and people was absolutely fascinating. Going to Washington, D.C. for leadership could only be described as fitting and fun!
