In the 48 hours since 9:30 a.m. Monday, the Lodi Police Department handled 351 calls for service. The following is a sample of calls received by dispatchers:
Monday
10:16 a.m.: A 6-year-old East Pine Street girl was refusing to go to school. In the process, officers arrested a man for public intoxication.
10:29 a.m.: A man was having both suicidal and homicidal thoughts at Lodi Mental Health, 1209 W. Tokay St.
11:56 a.m.: Nobody was injured when a vehicle hit a traffic signal at Harney Lane and Stockton Street.
12:22 p.m.: A woman in a gray hooded sweatshirt was following a man with a knife through the parking lot of Tuscany Ridge Apartments, 1830 S. Hutchins St.
1 p.m.: People were using false receipts to return merchandise for cash at Marshalls, 2429 W. Kettleman Lane.
1:47 p.m.: A home was burglarized in the 900 block of Woodrow Street.
2:45 p.m.: Child molestation was reported.
2:53 p.m.: Vanderlans & Sons Inc., 1320 S. Sacramento St., was burglarized.
2:55 p.m.: A home was burglarized in the 100 block of North Mills Avenue.
3:03 p.m.: Someone dumped garbage in a man's yard in the 200 block of Kelly Street.
3:15 p.m.: The cafeteria at Heritage School, 509 Eden St., was burglarized.
3:22 p.m.: A drunken female was threatening suicide at Century Plaza Apartments, 321 W. Century Blvd.
4:33 p.m.: A white 1990 Oldsmobile Cutlass Sierra was stolen at Blue Shield, 121 N. Guild Ave.
5:03 p.m.: A home was burglarized in the 200 block of Rush Street.
5:05 p.m.: Another home was burglarized, this time in the 600 block of West Locust Street.
5:11 p.m.: A man and a small child were trespassing by fishing in Lake Mallard, in the 1500 block of Lakeshore Drive.
6:54 p.m.: Someone stole a pool filter and vandalized a pool in the 600 block of South Orange Avenue.
7:27 p.m.: A loose pitbull had a "bad attitude" and was last seen chasing another dog in the 600 block of North Crescent Avenue.
8:23 p.m.: A man was banging on a vehicle with a baseball bat at the Softball Complex, 401 N. Stockton St.
8:57 p.m.: A 12-year-old girl was in the company of a registered sex offender at Smart Foods, 610 W. Kettleman Lane.
9:01 p.m.: A drunken transient was screaming and rolling around in front of a home in the 500 block of Calaveras Street.
9:16 p.m.: People in Blakely Park, 1050 S. Stockton St., were doing nothing wrong, but someone just didn't want them to be there.
9:36 p.m.: More than $400 in cash was stolen in the 500 block of South School Street.
9:36 p.m.: A drunken man with a shaved head was banging on vehicles in the 900 block of West Kettleman Lane.
9:29 p.m.: Three gunshots were heard in the 1400 block of South School Street.
Tuesday
4:19 a.m.: A long-haired man was inside a Dumpster, trying to gather paperwork, outside the Social Security Office, 2122 W. Kettleman Lane.
8:30 a.m.: A short man in his 40s tried to break into an apartment in the 400 block of South School Street, where a female was inside. He then left in a small blue car.
9:42 a.m.: Two years after a church burglary case on South Central Avenue, a pastor realized more items were missing.
9:55 a.m.: A drunken man was stumbling around in front of the Library, 201 W. Locust St.
10:50 a.m.: A 1996 Eagle was stolen at Orange Grove Apartments, 310 S. Orange Ave.
12:59 p.m.: A boy's leg was injured after he was hit by a vehicle while riding a go-ped in the 800 block of Rutledge Drive.
1:17 p.m.: Someone burglarized a home in the 300 block of South Sacramento Street.
1:39 p.m.: A large black Rottweiler chased someone in the 1100 block of South School Street.
2:03 p.m.: Juveniles were being loud and throwing gang signs in the 400 block of East Locust Street.
2:55 p.m.: Someone was assaulted the previous day at the 99 Cent Store, 300 W. Kettleman Lane.
3:39 p.m.: Neck pain was reported after a traffic collision at Stockton Street and Lodi Avenue.
4:19 p.m.: A white 1999 Chevrolet truck with an extended cab was stolen at the Park and Ride at Victor and Beckman roads.
4:51 p.m.: A tree branch broke a utility wire at Lockeford and Cross streets.
5:30 p.m.: Two females, both wearing skirts, were carrying a bucket and walking into traffic to ask for money at Hutchins Street and Harney Lane. Nineteen minutes later, one female and two males were stopping traffic to ask for money in the same place.
5:34 p.m.: Neighbors of a home daycare in the 300 block of Cypress Street were tired of parents honking when they arrive to pick up their children.
6:07 p.m.: A tree fell on a truck in the 500 block of Hilborn Street.
6:58 p.m.: The left-hand turn light from northbound Hutchins Street to Kettleman Lane was facing the wrong direction and causing traffic issues.
7:33 p.m.: A red-haired woman, accompanied by a child in a stroller, had spent several hours in the alley behind Visible Changes, 19 Downtown Mall, and used it as a bathroom. Forty-five minutes later, she had moved down School Street and was now screaming at the child.
7:56 p.m.: Three females were setting things on fire in the 1900 block of South Mills Avenue.
9:26 p.m.: After a Sonora Avenue resident accidentally misdialed a phone number, she was receiving harassing calls from that number.
Wednesday
7:16 a.m.: Storage containers were burglarized at Heritage School, 509 Eden St.
7:32 a.m.: A city truck was parked in front of a fire hydrant on Evergreen Drive. It was subsequently moved.
8:28 a.m.: All four tires were stolen off a vehicle at Tuscany Ridge Apartments, 1830 S. Hutchins St.
