Congressman Jerry McNerney, D-Pleasanton, left, hugs Abdul Shakoor Shazaad, the father of Adil Shazaad, one of the three Tokay High School students killed in a car accident on West Lane on Feb. 27. McNerney visited to the Lodi Muslim Mosque on Saturday to pay his condolences to the families.
McNerney's communications director, Andy Stone, said the Congressman wanted to show his support for the community after reading about the tragedy.
"He felt awful about it and wanted to do anything he could to express his condolences," Stone said. "They appreciated his presence there and his support." (Whitney Ramirez/News-Sentinel)
