Local to demonstrate Windows Vista software
A Lodi business will offer training seminars on Microsoft's new Vista and Office systems Thursday and Friday in Stockton.
It will be the first public demonstration in the Lodi-Stockton area, said David Diskin, who owns Applied Office in Lodi. Training will include Microsoft Office 2007, Exchange Server 2007, point-ofsale, small business accounting, smart phones and PDAs.
Diskin noted that the new software includes security to eliminate viruses and to deter hackers. Users will be able to find files more easily as well as incorporate fancy borders.
Diskin, a 12-year Lodi resident, started his own business two years ago. He previously worked for an Internet service company, but his job now is focused on training people and businesses on how to use computers and software more efficiently. His clients include Lodi Memorial Hospital, Teichert Construction, University of the Pacific, San Joaquin County and the state of California.
The public may come in anytime between 4 and 9 p.m. Thursday or from 7 to 11 a.m. Friday at 1439 Brookside Road, No. 201, Stockton. Visitors should allow about 30 minutes for the demonstration. EZ Network Systems is co-sponsoring the open house.
